Friday was a little different that I have thought. I finished the manual, and went to CU to meet Juan and Omar. Enrique phoned me, and he said that he probably wouldn’t make it.
I picked up Omar and Juan, and we went to Phsycology to eat quesadillas and see the female physcologists. They told me that Santandar-Serfin (the bank where our paychecks are from) closed at 5:00, so we decided to go to Ciencias, pick my paycheck, and try to get to the bank before the closing time. In the road we decided to go to see Constantine, but Omar needed to ask his girlfriend Paola if that was OK with her.
But anyway he went with Juan and me to change our paychecks. We got to the bank doors just as they were closing, but we made it. Which was über cool, because I didn’t have any more money in change.
We then went to the cinemas, and then it occurred to us (Juan and me), that maybe Enrique could make it in the night. We ask him, but he wasn’t sure; all week he had been busy at work, and he was getting out late.
I went to work, and Juanjo stayed in the mall. Back in the work I finished the manual (again; it turns out that TMM has an internal documentation format), and then I installed Tomcat 5.0 in an ancient version of Solaris (SunOS 5.7). It worked, to my surprise, but suddenly it stoped working. Nothing in the logs, it just stoped accepting connections. Weird.
Juan and I went to see Constantine.
Very cool movie; Keanu Reeves is über cool in the role, and Rachel Weiz is a total babe. She is not only pertty and hot; she looks intelligent, and she gives her roles a lot of character. Even in The Mummy. And she is in bikini in that one, so we forgive the whole movie.
We then went to eat tacos and to talk, and I get to home late at night.
My application now does things ala gmail, and it looks very professional.
At noon I tooked Tigger with the vet. He got this horrible bite at the base of his tail, and it was getting uglier, so I took him with Christina (our vet), and she cleaned the wound and give him antibiotics. Tigger was really pissed off. I don’t think he has been that pissed off before. But I understand him; the vet took a needle and shot in oxigenated water and Isodine right into the wound. It’s a bite, so it has four holes; the liquids entered in one hole, and exited in the other three. I was holding Tigger (I have experience), and he was wearing a mask so he couldn’t bite us; but he was pissed off. *Sigh*. I just hope he understand that I did it for his own sake… because at the end he was looking at me as if I were the devil.
In the afternoon I picked up Liliana to go to the theater. Originally we wanted to see Las viejas vienen marchando, but we didn’t know where the theater were; so we choosed Cabaret.
I was hoping something similar to Chicago (which I loved), but is not as spectacular, and certainly not so light. It’s OK, however. There is a scene were a lot of actors are signing a national-like hymn, making the nazi salute, and a lot of nazi flags start to get displayed in the room. There are brown-shirts dressed actors and actresses that get into the audience, with the swastika in their arms, and they kind of round us. You felt trapped. The scene is so fucking disturbing. And powerful.
At the beginning of the play, the director said a little words about the opposition of the producers and cast members to all the nazi symbols and everything that they represent, of course. But anyway… maybe is my communist education, maybe is my idea of good-wrong… but I feel kind of sick at that scene. Is so fucking real. I wanted to sing Le Internationale, shout “¡Viva Zapata!”, I don’t know… oppose it!
Maybe I’m over reacting; Liliana didn’t feel that. But she wasn’t feeling much, anyway.
Over the past weeks, one of our problems was that, according with Liliana, we weren’t doing anything that she likes. That all that we did was go to eat, and to the movies. And in the last two weeks only to the movies, because Liliana is on diet.
So, when my bosses payed me, the first thing I did was to propose the theater thingie to Liliana. She loves theater, and was one of the things she used as an example when I asked her what kind of things she would like to do.
But she was with her ejote-face all night. I was more than a little pissed off about it.
Sunday morning wasn’t better; she was all sad and distant, until she told me: “I think we shouldn’t see each other any more.”
That pissed me off big time.
After three so fucking long hours of discussion, I leaved her near the house of one of her friends, and I went back to home. I finished Juanjo’s machine, and then went to my father’s apartment, first picking up a cheap phone form Radio Shack. I reinstalled his modem (he was without phone for a very long time), installed Service Pack 2 to his Windows XP, and uninstalled PC Cillin and installed AntiVir Personal Edition. I catched up with him in the mean time. In all that time, I tried to phone Liliana, because I wanted to know if she was OK. In my father’s apartment she called me, and we accorded to talk in the night.
I sayed good by to my father, get back to home, picked up Juanjo’s machine, and went to his apartment to give it to him. I talked a little with him, and then returned to home. In the road, Liliana call me to say me that she was about to sleep, and we accorded to talk tomorrow.
I have no fucking idea of what is happening. I don’t know what are we going to do. And I’m still pissed off. Fuck.
I’m going to bed; it’s 2:00 AM and I’m so fuckin tired. At least Maistro looks like progressing, and Tigger seems like he doesn’t hate me any more.
